Spook-o-Ree is a month away, from October 17^th to 18^th at Camp Herms in El Cerrito.  This fun event draws Cub Scout packs from across the East Bay, with games, crafts, archery, slingshots, and BB guns. This year, we are holding our fall campout at Spook-o-Ree.  I have signed Pack 52 up to attend on the 17^th.  However, if you cannot make it on the 17^th, you may sign up for the 18^th instead, but you will be placed with kids from other local packs instead of Pack 52.  All camping (whether you sign up for the 17^th or the 18^th) is from Saturday night on the 17^th to Sunday morning the 18^th.  So even if you sign up for the other session, you can still camp with the rest of the pack.

Join us for our first pack meeting of the year! We'll be making paper rockets and launching them via air pump. We'll supply the paper, markers, tape, lots of tape, even more tape, and the launchers. How high can your rocket fly? Will your rocket burst? Find out on Wednesday. 

If you would like to swap your old uniform pieces (hats, neckerchiefs, slides) please bring them with you on Wednesday. Remember, a scout is thrifty.

Due to a conflict with the Del Rey Boofest, our campout has been moved 1 week earlier.  

Please save the date for our Fall Campout: October 17-18.  The location is Camp Herms in El Cerrito, and it will be done in conjunction with the council-run Spook-o-Ree giving our scouts the opportunity to earn their Archery, Slingshot and BB gun (1st grade and older) adventures during the campout.
