This is a reminder that we gave your scouts homework to perform an act of kindness. Please check in with your scout and ask if they have done something kind or, if not, ask them to think of something that they can do before Wednesday's meeting.

There is a little homework for the parents as well:

The act of kindness is half of the "Family and Reverence" adventure for each scout. The other half of the adventure is to talk with your family about your faith or family traditions. One suggestion is to discuss what holidays you celebrate and why. While you are encouraged to do this, and the Cub Scouts lists it as a requirement, Pack 52 considers this part of the Family & Reverence adventure to be optional. We will be awarding the Family and Reverence belt loops at the next pack meeting for all scouts that performed (or at least can give a sample of) an act of kindness.

Weigh-In: The weigh-in will occur at our pack meeting on Wednesday at 6 pm. Please bring your completed car with you to the meeting. If you haven't added weights to your car yet, there will be stick-on steel weights available at the weigh-in. We can also supply the graphite wheel lubrication.

While the dens are each holding den meetings and working on their adventures, we will call up each den one at a time to turn in their cars.

We will also take a photo for your scout's drivers license at the weigh-in (if we didn't get your photo at the workshop).

Race Day: The race is next Saturday (21^st) from 10am- about 12:30pm.

12:00-12:30 Award Ceremony and Pizza

The three extra trophies that will be handed out this year are:

-Most Creative

-Funniest

-Most fuel-efficient (slowest) *To be eligible for this award, the car must finish each of its races without interfering with other cars.  I understand this is a popular award in some other packs with people competing to build the slowest car.

As a reminder, each den's top three fastest cars will get 1st, 2nd and 3rd place medals. There will also be trophies given to the fastest three cars of the whole pack. 

 If you took the 1:53 train home...please bring it back, Amtrak is looking for it.
